Scholars-Historical Consultants Allegra Fuller Snyder Allegra Fuller Snyder is Professor Emerita of Dance and former Director of the pioneering Graduate Program in Dance and Ethnology at UCLA. She co-directed the first "Dance/Television Workshop" held at the American Dance Festival and a conference on "Researching Dance through Film and Video" sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution. She has directed a number of films on dance including Bayanihan which won a special award as the best folkloric documentary at the Bilbao, Spain Film Festival and also won a Golden Eagle Award. A grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities allowed her to make Baroque Dance: 1675-1725 and When the Fire Dances between the Two Poles, a film on the great German modernist Mary Wigman. She served as a Core Consultant for Dancing an eight-hour series for PBS.
Malcolm McCormick is a former dancer and costume designer and was a member of the dance faculty at the University of California in Los Angeles. A dance historian, Mr. McCormick has been a guest lecturer at many universities, including California Institute of the Arts.
